There are different kinds. Aunt Molly's seems to get the best reviews, but since this was a trade, I have no idea what kind it is. It's hard to believe that a plant the size of a tomato plant will grow out of those tiny seedlings. Right now they are about the size of 10 strands of hair.
I'll keep you posted.

If you try the tropical bush, let me know. Still too cold to plant, but definitely time to get ready! Love, Mom
PS: I love gold nugget squash! Thanks for the seeds. I will try all the others, too.
As for the ground cherry--I planted husk tomatoes once. wierd taste! Then I tried planting tomatillas from the grocery store, and they were worse. Let me know how yours taste!!
Speaking of taste, Park Seeds has a West Africa tropical bush for sale on the internet that is supposed to fruit indoors. It is Synsepalum dulcificum. The berries temporarily turn off the sour center in the tastebuds, so that lemons and grapefruit taste sweet!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1830207739438451655.post-25478127251847062582011-04-11T21:37:05.579-07:002011-04-11T21:37:05.579-07:00Humidity--a new thing to consider, I have always l...Humidity--a new thing to consider, I have always lived in a desert...Maybe my husband's daughter in Texas, who lives on the bay of Mexico, could grow this plant! Some of them are edible--daylilies, for instance! Last year, I planted seeds I got from www.ParkSeeds.com of Datura metal plentiflorum fastuoso. Park calls them Ballerina Daturas. They are tropicals. The plants grew and flowered but did not set seed, so I ordered more seeds of the yellow variety because those flowers smell of Jasmine, and that is my favorite aromatherapy!! I am waiting for the dandelions to bloom [which will be garden time here in zone 4] to plant them.
Love MomAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1830207739438451655.post-88211698624548302792011-04-01T06:23:28.942-07:002011-04-01T06:23:28.942-07:00Ah, good advice Penelope.
